Drain Dye – Fluorescein

Tintex Drain Dye is a water colourant used to locate leaks in plumbing, tracing pipe locations, detect drain damage and water pathways.  It is non-toxic to the environment and odourless.  Available in Bright Blue, Bright Green, Bright Red, Bright Yellow and Fluorescein.  Fluorescein is a Fluorescent Green colour that will fluoresce under a black light. Fluorescein is especially useful for use in dark areas. For general use mix 1-2g of dye per 20 litres of water/liquid. Adjust accordingly depending on colour strength required.

Fluorescein: To achieve a concentrated solution mix at 250g to 10 litres of water. Then use at a rate of approximately 50ml per 100 litres. Adjust ratios as necessary depending on the application of use.
